What is Tudor

I can probable do an internet search, but all I know about Tudor is that they are not sold in us and are made by Rolex. What is Tudor?

It is the other brand of Rolex. They share the same oyster case, signed crown and crystal.

The movemments are ETA, but modified by Rolex.

Search here (Search function at top of page), and Google. Something like 21 pages of threads to read right here.

Rolex design, Rolex made (sans movements), and lower priced. There is, of course, a long history for Tudor, but these days all you have to know is that Tudor is essentially a workshop for Rolex where they (engineers and designers) can be fun, creative, and a little trendy as opposed to Rolex which must maintain the brand. Think of Tudor as the conservative Rolex' hot younger sister.......who just pledged a sorority. :-)

See that is why I asked here. Can't find that kind of description at www.tudorwatch.com

I like the way Tudor takes liberties with designs and neat things like included NATO straps. Rolexes are great to have nato on but rolex would never include one in box.

I like the younger hotter sister!

Tudor is almost completely disconnected from Rolex these days. I won't say any more because the wrath of some members will befall me.

Good brand in its own right

Sister company of Rolex.

A bit like:
- BMW and MINI
- Mercedes Benz and Smart
- Prada and Miu Miu
- Giorgio Armani and Armani Exchange
- Toyota and Lexus
- Nissan and Infiniti
- Qantas and Jetstar (airlines in Australia)

Tudor, something familiar with an independent streak.

Haha, that made me laugh. A very apt analogy though
