I have owned a SS GMT-II for the past 10 years. I wear it everyday and only take it off while showering. It has been around the world many times from the beautiful Pacific to the cold of the Balkans to the heat of Middle East. I have never had an issue with the GMT-II and it has served me well.

Earlier this year I purchased a SD after doing research on this site. I decided to leave my trusty GMT-II home and I took the SD to Africa for the past six months. Again, it was a rock solid great watch however; I did miss the GMT hand on my GMT-II.

I would like to see Rolex offer the SD with the GMT hand. That would be my ideal Rolex watch.

For myself, I would like a GMT Master II with a Speed Yellow (Porsche) 24-hour hand and a Triplock Crown.

The SD is just PERFECTLY designed as it is, but IF the SD were to be "updated", I for my part would like to see:

Super Case
Maxi Dial
Red "Sea-Dweller" writing
Curved sapphire crystal
STILL matte bracelet

If you want a diver with a GMT hand, there are plenty out there. Omega makes several. One has a 24-hour bezel, and the other has an elapsed-time bezel with the 24-hour marks on the dial. Seiko also makes a really nice MarineMaster GMT Diver. It is not your typical $300 Seiko. It lives in the Omega price and quality range.

There is another watch that has ALL of the features of the entire Rolex sport line, with a rugged reputation. You want a diver with multiple time zones, day-date and a chronograph?

Casio G-shock.

I agree with you on the Casio G-Shock. I'll one-up that with my Suunto Observer Titanium, which I've had for six years and worn through some crazy stuff.

However, we're on the Rolex forum because it ain't all about just telling time, and other things, in strange environments.
