Which stainless steel AP ROO would you get?
So if you could pick any stainless steel AP ROO... which one would you get and why? Please assume that this is your first and only AP when making the decision.
I'm thinking black face rubber clad... worried that the ss bezel would get damaged rather quickly. Looking forward to everyone's responses. |

For me the SS Panda ROO. I wouldn't worry too much about the bezel as it can be polished a good 4-5 times before replacing and it comes off simple enough.

Black RC was the front runner for the longest time...until I saw the shimmer on that SS bezel After that, it was hard to justify the same cost for rubber vs. steel and rubber strap vs. hornback. |

Rubber or steel bezel, both look great.
Well if you get the 44mm ceramic bezel, you could have both looks in one, with durability. ;)

X2. I love mine. Should have my new lens for my SLR to get some pics up next week. I was almost sold on the Panda until I saw this. Yea the 44mm is more expensive but IMHO well worth it to me. I get the fact that some think it's crazy to get a SS steel watch on rubber for the same (if not more) than a solid gold Rolex but I LOVE this watch.

If the ROOs weren't too big on me, I'd go for a panda or navy on bracelet. Good luck!
Cheers! |

thsiao, allow me to share this:
I have sold the Panda to make way for a Bumblebee. Now, there is definitely no question that the BB is the "better watch", for practicality reasons. It is also the "better AP" given the materials. They both share the hornbacks which are stiff at first, get smoother with time, and depending on which way you lean, they share the clasp style (BB's is in Ti though). Guess what. I regret parting with my Panda. Not that I regret getting the BB, I just wish I had the Panda still. It is topping my list as my next AP. I have already tried on the Millenary 4101, loved it; the 26320 white dial, also liked it a lot although it reminded me too much of the Rolex Daytona; and I drool when I see the 39mm ROC Panda. Yet, the ROO Panda on bracelet or Singapore F1 strap is without doubt the single AP I am lusting after for the past month and I bet for the next year. This is an insight of a guy who has worn the watch for 2 years. Sold it. And is admitting it was a mistake, and adamant at rectifying it someday. ;) |

Just wanted to share with everyone that I was in Vegas this weekend and was able to try on the Panda and the 44mm carbon. I have to say that the 44mm blew my mind away! Hard to explain but if just seemed to fit my wrist so much better than the 42mm. I also didn't really like how much the straps taper on the 42mm versions... reminds me of the DSSD. The 44mm on the other hand had a wider rubber strap and a large tang buckle (which I prefer much more than any deployant). Too bad they didn't have the 44mm in SS there for me to see but I'm sure it is just as nice as the carbon version.
