I am looking at doubling the size of my project within the next several months, so on the hunt now for qualified personnel. Also want to add, there will be a paid Stateside 3-4 week technical training program on the systems before new hires depart for OCONUS.

I'm thinking of a guy here in town who has been to Iraq on a couple of occasions to do plumbing work - he has a plumbing license. Currently he's working for the city's police department as a dispatcher and eyeing CLEET certification. Maybe I should give him a call - sadly, he has just moved out from his wife and kids - maybe he could use the money and diversion.

I don't think a plumbing background would meet the requirements. I really need those with a intensive Military Electronics Repair background or Military vehicle or generator repair background. 18E (Special Forces Communications), 18Z (Special Forces Operations E-8 NCO) 18C (Special Forces Engineer) also meet requirements for some of the Positions I have availiable. It is getting hard to find good qualified personnel who are willing to commit themselves to at least one year (but with the ability to continue on for years and years and many other potential jobs around the world).
Those who are retired Officers or Senior NCOs with either a Technical Background or Special Operations Background may be intersted as well as some POCs I have for some higher paying managment postions. |

I worked SOCOM for 11 years, DIA for 7 years and now work at an Embassy, hold TS-SCI and expected to be looking for work next June. Sorry no blue-collar experience here unless it is computer related.

Hey Chad, I don't qualify for that job, but if you have any openings for a 50-year old lawyer with no military experience (except as a young boy when his Dad would take him along to the local Army base) who would love to do something for his country over there keep me in mind.

Chad, just wanted to thank you. I am not qualified but if I were, I'd be applying in a second and grateful for the opportunity to get the jump on the job via a forum like this. 150k is nothing to sneeze at. Chad posted in earnest and jokers replies seem morally inappropriate when it comes to helping protect the lives of servicemen doing their duty.

No, sorry no Armourer needed for my project. I do know of a contract supporting ODAs training the Afghan Army that is looking for Armourers, but the job also requires a MOS 18B background.
Thanks for the comments guys and those who have expressed additional info. Astcell, PM sent. |

No need for old lawyers? Not even as cannon fodder?

SGT Rooney reporting as ordered!:
I wasn't a very good shot, as you can see. I was better at APFT's and calling artillery. |
