First time window shopping in over a year

No wrist shots (sorry), just sharing some thoughts. I took some pictures off of random sites to represent the pieces I'm referring to - by no means claiming they are my images.

Checked out the Tourneau in the Westchester Mall last night.

I went in with hopes to find a SD4000 and/or GMT Pepsi, but no dice. I'd really like to go somewhere that I can try both on and check them out side by side. Anyone have any suggestions? I've never handled either in person, and both being discontinued they are difficult to find.

They did have an 18k GMT Master II All Brown (not bi color) bezel/dial on Jubilee. What threw me for a loop is that it was on a super jubilee... and I'm assuming that watch didn't come on super jubilee.

I did end up checking out some IWC watches and came away with some thoughts:

The 7 day Portuguese with blue hands/blue leather is stunning in person. Really jumped out at me in the case. With that being said, I wasn't crazy about it on my wrist. Gorgeous watch but just didn't fit me properly.

The Portguese Yacht-Club Volvo Edition - Mixed feelings on this. Of the Yacht-Clubs, this was my least favorite version. I prefer the black or white version as I like the cleaner dial, and polished case more. I was very pleased to discover that this watch was not too big for me. Having only a 6.5 in wrist, I thought this 45mm case would be way too big, but it wears totally fine on me. I thought this was strange because I found the DSSD to wear way too big for me. Although I liked the look and comfort of the rubber strap / I felt it hard to believe that I'd ever pay anything near 15800 for this watch. I'd still like to see the regular black or white dial version, which is also less expensive.

Howard Frum in Chicago has more pre-loved Rolex references in one place than I've ever seen before, but that's a long trip for his store. There has to be similar places in NYC.

I don't think I have ever seen an all brown GMTII like that before. I really like it with the Super Jubilee bracelet. It is a stunner, for sure. Is this a factory Rolex combination?

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I assume there are a few places in NYC. I'll probably set up a trip in the next month or 2 to head there and I'll be sure to do my research as to where I should go. At this point I just want to look and try a bunch of stuff on.
