New avatar?

Some don't like my avatar as it may be too provocative.

How do you like this one?

Your avatar does not bother me.

I change mine regularly just for fun. I once received a disturbing PM about one of them.

Edit: Decided to change it again.

Anyone who thinks that a sign saying coexist is threatening or wrong needs to take a long hard look at who they are! I think your avatar is perfect and is a sentiment that could do with being more prevelant nowadays!

Would this work? Or is it too big? Although you may get a comment or two...

I don't think anyone has to compromise their own religious beliefs to coexist with other religions. We should all strive for it. I believe what I believe, but feel that others who pray to another god have the right to exist peacefully on this planet we all share. Your avatar is thought-provoking, but it does not bother me.

Not to get too political, but when some people's beliefs are that they must kill those that do not believe the same, it is quite hard to coexist.

I agree with your point and I don't deny in any way that this problem exists.

I find it hard to believe we can't coexist with a Coexist avatar.

My daughter just bought a bookbag with that symbol. Half my city has one on a bumpersticker on the back of their cars.

If you like it, keep it.

When you have several Religions on complete opposite ends, they will not and can not co-exist unless one of the Religions comprimises their Faith, otherwise there will be always conflict. Calls to have Religions comprimise and accept other Faiths will result in conflict as well.

Explodingtaco, Yes I have witnessed that first hand in several countries I have worked in.
Still much religous persecution in several Muslim, Communist (Atheistic) and Hindu countries I have lived in.

There is only one God. Just different cultural filters on thier take on God. All of this dissension and war that is happening right now does not come from God and it is horrible that it is being waged partly in God's name.

We must all learn to respect and Co-Exist or this planet is done for.

Please keep your current avatar.

Tom, Not to get into a long religious debate with you, but I have to respectfully disagree. I agree that there is only one God, but I also believe there in only one correct interpetation of that Belief, and not based on Cultures, since that Christian belief spans through all cultures and nations.

If by co-exist, we define that as not having Religuous persecution of other faiths and for allowing Religous Freedom, I am all for that. If by co-exist, it means to accept all belief systems as equal or valid or to comprimise ones faith, then I can not accept that.

A devout Catholic Christian and a Paganism for example can not co-exist by the second definition. To say one of the religions must tolerate and accept the other's religion, that would be intolerant in itself against the belief system that states there is only one true Way.

God or no God. We are free to believe what we want to believe and not be judged or persecuted for that belief ?? I think the Avatar has a nice sentiment.
Why cant we all just get along :)
Now lets get back to the watches ???

Hey Stefan is your name Irish for Steve? I've been called Stephan, Stephano (in italy) mostly Steve, or Steven but also Stevo and Stevie (as in wonder ) but is should really be Stephen.

Blame my parents . I've been called alot worse than all those names above . Stefan isnt an Irish version of Stephen. It's the common verision found in Germany, Switzerland etc. I think the Irish version would be something like "steophan" but im not sure.

"Stephen or Steven (generally pronounced IPA: /ˈstiːvən/) is an English masculine first name, derived through the Latin form Stephanus from the Greek Στέφανος (Stephanos), which means "crown" or "wreath."
Less commonly encountered spellings include Stephan, Stefan, and Stevon. Steve is the common short form and various diminutives such as Stevie and Ste are also found."

Looks like we are all using a derivative. From now on to help us "CoExist" I think we should address each other by our real name Στέφανος
But you can call me Stephanus for short

Speaking of Avatars, Steve it looks like you have a giant growth on the right side of your head. I had to look more closely to figure out what was going on there.

As for my avatar, thank you for the input. I believe I'll keep it.

I see what you mean about the growth. And the Brittish always say that the Sellafield Nuclear plant is nothing for us Irish to worry about
