Please give me Your opinion on the Glacier Roman Dial available on DD Plat

Thinking about getting one, What's your opinion on the dial color?

It's not a watch I would ever buy for myself but I admire the look of it on others.

Lovely, if you are in the market that would be a great choice.

ALWAYS awesome! One of the best combos around! Always been a little miffed you can't get it (legitimately as factory original) in WG, because I love the DD II, but the FORMERLY "domed" bezel on the 36mm DD is now rather flat on the 41mm DD II and IMHO the dial MIGHT look better with the fluted bezel of the WG DD II, which fluted bezel does not come, of course, on the platty.

I think it's a great color because then there is no mistaking it for a platinum watch. If I were to get a plat DDII, I'd probably go with the glacier blue or black.

I am getting it on a 36mm WG DD from Jon Todd at Sant Blanc he has it but its not factory original. Rolex only puts the Glacier blue dials on their platinum watches like the DD and Cellinium. I dont know how he got the dial but he has one and I also want it with a fluted bezel.

I've seen the very watch to which you're referring on a Sant Blanc list I keep on "My Ebay"...steered away from it bc of potential forced dial swap or refusal to service at RSC...because the dial, as Paul (77T) has pointed out in another thread, is "out of reference". If you go with it, just keep that possibility, (NOT a certainty), in mind.

A WG DD with fluted bezel and glacier dial is the best looking combo IMHO.

Here is my one.

Are the glacier blue dials different colors from different years? I have seen older ones that look less blue than the newer ones. Is this my imagination? Thanks in advance

This. .....I'm sorry, but IMHO it evokes the feeling that a hologram sticker, like those that used to be on the caseback of new watches, was stuck on the dial and needs to be peeled off!

Veeeery nice, Jocke!
Is it a factory platty dial that your watchmaker swapped out for you, or did someone refinish the dial that was factory-original to the watch?
