Icon17 15300 action & self-enabling

quiet day on the floor today so cruised over to SW1 to drool all over the watch shop in Harrods

Been lusting for an RO all year but somehow got distracted by a few other projects

nice to see there's still plenty of them about - RRP just over £11,000

i definitely prefer the white and silver dials, black is too dark and unfortunately there was no blue dial for me to try on

sales guy was very friendly, wore a GMT Coke, when i commented on it he replied "year i prefer rolex"

15300 highlights for me
- clean dial
- very comfy
- amazing bracelet
- under the radar piece

anyway, few shots below

PS didn't bother with the 41mm, plenty in stock, but they just looked way too big for my simple tastes. the bezel also looks really slim and the watch overall disproportionate

i agree mike

as i tried it on it very much reminded me of the shot of yours in the snow

think we have a very strong candidate for my first AP

the bracelet is the dog's bollocks. work of art

i need to see the silver dial for comparion... although i'd imagine it's more creamy

The white is the silver. There's only black, blue/gray, white/silver. In certain lighting the white looks silver.

The white looks amazing on your wrist! That is one beautiful watch! I think it will be this or a VC Overseas for my next one!

It's a great watch.

You wouldn't regret adding it to your collection. White/Silver for me over the others.

Wow. I was set on the black...Still might be.

I don't have any white dialed watches. Considered the white dial SS Daytona, but it seems more and more to be favored by women - nothing wrong with that mind you. Love my silver dialed stick DJ on Jubilee.

What do folks think...is the White or Silver dial AP 15300 (just the size for me) more dressy or casual? I keep hearing folks say APs are not everyday watches...but not sure I follow - or agree.

I prefer black (which often looks more like slate).

Bill, it's a very versatile watch. I wear mine both casual (shorts and jeans - very sharp looking) and formally (suits - very classy looking).

Mr H, that blue dial is really awesome!

By the way, I think the white dial wears larger. And all are classy and sporty regardless of the dial colour. The RO is really an all-occasion watch!

White and blue happen to be one of my favorite dial options on the 15300 and even the 15400. Now the chrono's are a bit different, I love the black!

your pic of the cuffs is exactly what i was envisioning the AP RO to do, slipping under, without calling out for attention, could never get a PAM to do that..

All the colors are nice, but I think the silver dial is the nicest.

Anders, the AP 15300 (White Dial) and the PP 5167 make a great pair.
