Hello all... used Sub date purchase
Hello all,
I am just about to buy my first Rolex, have always loved them and am treating myself for my Birthday later this month. Having found an add for a private sale Submariner Date 2006, I met the guy and he seemed very genuine, I looked at the watch to the best of my ability and was fairly confident. I left a deposit of £400 and he offered me the box and papers to take away with me. I have the offer of taking it to a Rolex dealer to get it checked out but untill then I wondered if anyone could tell me whether these papers and box looks genuine? http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=7037026 http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=7037027 Many thanks! Welcom Lee. The pictures you show are indeed genuine However I would have the watch checked out by an AD before handing over any more of your money just to make sure they match.

Thanks Wolfgang! I remember seeing a very small number matching number(I think) from the certificate inside the strap clasp, However as you have suggested I will visit a dealer for peace of mind. looking foward to wearing my first Rolex Lee |

thanks for the warm welcome guys!
will be around to ask a few questions no doubt and see what lovely examples you all have! there are a few other watches I want but I have also taken a liking to the Steel Oyster Perpetual Explorer. A freind of mine who has a collection of over 40 watches has given me the bug. |
