iOS 6 on iPad....

I downloaded this on my iPad and as much as I like the new features, it looks like the battery is drained faster than with previous iOS. Anyone experiencing this? Yes, I do close/stop apps when I am not using them, but with the same use as with iOS 5, battery drains down faster!

iPad 1,2 or 3 Gerardo?
I'm not noticing it on my 2 at all.....then again, my wife uses it more than I, so I could be wrong...

Haven't noticed quicker battery drain, although have noticed some embedded YouTube videos on posts I can't open.

Also because I don't like the new maps, I haven't updated my iPhone to OS6.

I will look into my apps, maybe something is draining the battery. Thank you for your comments!

I had this problem before the update. I finally ended up having to reset as new (per the Genius Bar rec). Solved my problem.

No change here.

Reset network settings first, might work without a total reset.

Also, no need to close/stop apps on iOS.

on my iPad2 no difference. But go check Location Services and make sure they are set the way you had them before the upgrade..

I only recently uploaded to iOS 5 and noticed an improvement on battery life. I have now gone to iOS 6 and battery life is still good.

However somewhere along the way I lost my YouTube icon.

On my phone, I noticed battery life degrades, but got better as the various apps were updated for 6.

Off topic, but I recently downloaded the new OS for iphone 4 and now it crashes and is hung up all of the time. It's a mess.

Bit offtopic but so funny i want to share

Had pixel problems -too green display-on my ipad 2 ,check for fix on the web and ppl adviced to hammer the back slightly .i did.
First became even worse than black out then a slight rubber hammering brought it back.beleive it or not the display is perfect now!
The secret is the lcd cable/connectors fitted bit loose by apple ,if it gets disconnected some slapping can fix if you are lucky .

There are times when that works though as an IT guy, we generally frown on percussive maintenance

iPad 3 here. No real notice in battery life changes. I played The Room for 5 hours straight and had no issues

Ios6 here on an iPad 2. No battery drain issues. Don't ask me about my iPhone 4, that's a different story
