What's the Consensus on this Dial?
To me, it just doesn't add up, but I'm not knowledgeable in this area.

` does not look like Rolex quality therefore I give it a fail.I don`t know if the design is based on a Rolex design or not but I`m guessing that it`s not.
I trust the knowledgable forum members will soon appear to set me straight if any of my guesses are wrong. |

It's from Malaysia, sorry but IMHO I'm not buying or selling anything from or to there.

It's custom and very different.
Seller was honest about that, though... "Custom made Solid 18K Rolex Diamond Pave dial set with Natural Real Diamonds for Rolex Mid Size Watch"

This is a custom dial and is aftermarket, infact since it has the rolex logo counterfiet, the seller does say it's custom, this never saw the inside of any rolex facility, They are not solid gold but brass also, note the absence of any hallmarks on the back an international legal requirement if solid gold. The factory original dials are gold. Now for the design, it is trying to be a crown collection special edition dial,(see my avatar or the picture below, it is similar in design, but not correct.) It is trying to look like a dial called a "PLEIADE" . Pleiade dials are quite rare and only avaiable on crown collection presidents ladies and mens, they are pricey around a $7000 option. Rolex uses fantastic matched high quality diamonds, some dials only have paved diamonds and some have diamond paved and either ruby or blue sapphire or green emerald on the markers. I own this watch and as you can see when Rolex do it in the photo below of an original crown collection special edition dial it's very classy and tasteful and everything is perfect unlike that pos copy.

So, custom or not, full-disclosure or not, the dial is counterfeit.
Nice watch, David.
