My first Rolex.. Submariner...Question
I will soon be buying my first Rolex...I have decided that I want the Submariner.... I really like the feel of the new heavier bracelet, the new bezel, etc... Here my questions...I'm new to the forum so I apologize if these subjects have been brought up before... What are your thoughts on the new versus the older Submariner? Next is a price issue...looks to me that the going price from an authorized Rolex dealer is $8500. I don't have a problem paying that to know its real...if I was going to buy it online or not from an authorized dealer are there ways to ensure I'm getting the real thing while getting a "deal"? What should I look for? Who can you trust? Will Rolex still stand behind it if I don't get it from one of their dealers? Thanks for taking the time to read this and posting your thoughts....

Trying to find a "deal" is a risk. You need to know exactly what you are looking for if you choose to purchase outide an authorized channel because nobody can give you a foolproof gimmick.

A Pre-owned Sub in excellent shape and with the full set included would be a fine choice.
There are many trusted sellers on the Forum who can get you a great deal. But if you'd like the AD experience you will pay a bit more for a new one.

The micro etching inside the bezel. You must use an led light for to be more visible

An AD is a great way to go especially for a first purchase. It adds to the experience.
The only other route I'd consider is one of the trusted sellers here on TRF. Good luck and post some pics when you get it. |
