Obvious Fake Rolex 6538 submariner
http://www.ebay.com/itm/AUTEHNTIC-RO...item3ccbbcf92f
Seller: wristrolex, 322 and 100% positive feedbacks. This is a fake Rolex 6538. No doubts! I HATE these fraudulent sellers! |

I should have known
Shit, I already bid for this watch and contacted the seller now via ebay that I would like to withdraw my bid and he should cancel it. Hope that works, otherwise I have to hope someone will use vero to notify ebay.
Very uncautious from my part, should have been more carefully looking. Serial number engraved was also dodgy to me, but the ref. engraving on the other side looked okay. Just the font and color combination of the dial also made me suspicous. Is it a Yuki? |

Thank good, there is a higher bid (probably from the seller himself after I told him), so I am safe. But still, any other potential buyer should know: Beware!

Not being an expert on circa 1950's Submariners, shouldn't the dial be two lines instead of four? And the movement, it looks genuine to me.

A very few 6538 four line of text dials were produced for this model, but they are very very rare. For some reason, we see a lot of them on eBay.
This dial is completely fake, so are the other parts of the watch. I'm not too worried about the fakes sold at $50 on eBay. However, I'm extremely annoyed by these fraudulent sellers trying to sell POS at big bucks. This seller either doesn't know what he is selling or is a total crook. |

Looks like there were three variations of the dial for the 6538.

There are a few more variations with different combinations. For example 3-6-9 dials or three red lines.
Sorry I don't know how to post pics. I have to switch to tchapaltalk or something like that. |

Reported twice, but still there.
Current bid is $3'450. I'm giving up with eBay, but someone at the end is going to get screwed up. |
