Hi everybody,

I am Zsolt from Switzerland.

I have found below posting on ebay tonight of a 6538:

Besides the fact that I am not sure whether the case has just a re-engraved serial between the lugs, as the seller claims or it is purely aftermarket, also the dial leaves me sceptical: I have never seen such a 4 line dial with the Officially Certified Chronometer in that font and also the color combination white gold white is strange to me for that period (1958).

What is your opinion? Can anybody help?

I believe it is genuine but the seller lists all the issues with the watch. I see nothing to indicate the case is counterfeit, but as stated, it has been re-stamped which detracts substantially from a collector standpoint. Someone should be along soon and address the dial, which I can't make an opinion on myself.

Another member (Goigiudoc) posts in another thread that also the case is fake and the watch overall is an obvious fake.
