Green Dial GMTII?

I've never seen this model or heard of it before.

Have I been out of touch too long?

Is it available on the YG only?

Oh Brother!

If my AD ever gets one of these, I'm sure it's gone in short order or it's a special order.

It does have a special appeal.

Yes, I believe it's available in YG only, as an alternative to the black dial.

No, you haven't been out of touch at all. It's not really a watch you see when you walk down the street everyday! I think I first noticed it a few months ago when I was bored and decided to give the Rolex website a thorough going over.

Yes, YG model only. Seen this model a few times at AD's and it is very beautiful in person.

I've seen them in person before, the black dial is much nicer. Ceramic GMTs are okay bit the older gold models were nicer I think

That dial combo deserves a solid gold bezel methinks. Engraved with the 24 hour index numbers and marks enameled in matching green.

But that's just me...

These YG with the green dial look stunning in the flesh, the photos just don't do them justice. Very nice!

Yep--been around for years. As for special or high demand--the black ones are in higher demand. It is unique and a very cool look in person. Cheers,

I've tried one on. Yes, it does look very nice. But black I think goes better with the yellow gold case and bracelet, plus it's more wearable in more situations. When I'm spending 20-25k on an all gold Rolex, I want it to be a watch that can be worn with anything, that's why I went for the black dial rather than the green ...

It was introduced back in 2005 at the Baselworld Fair and was the first model to sport the "super case" and a ceramic bezel... some call the green dial version the "anniversary" GMT IIC model, although I believe it was never coined that officially by Rolex.

Likewise, i'm targetting one of them in 2/3 years, a bit out of reach at the minute, but one day it will be mine, oh yes! It will be mine!!

I've seen it in a SS and gold. Looks good but not original and that bothers me.

Amazing looking watch. Never seen it in person...maybe some day.

You will see them from time to time on eBay in TT, but that is a mod.

I love that watch. If I could afford it, that would be the only gold watch I'd ever need to own andin fact would probably trade my SS GMTIIC AND SERTI SUB for one! I'd just be somewhat afraid that daily wear would destroy the bracet and i would never be ble to afford to replace it. At least the SS should last.
