A watch delived in armored truck?
Sure was. One of the most beautiful watches I have EVER seen. Pictures kind of do not do justice to it. Was picked up within an hour of being delivered. Amazing. 1 of 50 made.
The watch is the first COSC chronometer certified jump-hour. And since I'm already making a thread, i'll post a few pics of one of my favorite Rolex. The 5443/9 |

Beauty is obviously in the eye of the beholder.....but if someone was offering it to you for a dime, you might well have second thoughts .
I do love the Prince with the transparent caseback and the modern but classic dual dial. Class all the way |

When I saw that Prince pic I got kind of light-headed. I guess I'm heading down the path of WIS-dom. Didn't think it would happen to me.

Thanks for sharing, but in all fairness, neither one of those watches appeals to me. I don't care for square watches and all that diamond bling is way over the top.
Also, that one skeletal hand in the centre on the Breitling pisses me off!!

Well, the Breitling is too blingy for my taste, but nevertheless congrats on that one!
I like the Prince! I guess the crown is a simple pull-out version on that one?

Its a different world - but nice to see what watches some people choose when money is obviously, is not the issue....
Krill - What a fantastic job you have, seeing and transacting with watches of that calibre |

The Breitling might look good on my wife's wrist, but it's certainly not my style.
I'm not a big fan of square/rectangular watches, but that Rolex is very nice. I think I could wear that one.

My sister recently bought a $50K+ watch, a cartier tankissime with diamonds. And she's not thrilled with it. She was going for a 'little over the top' look to wear on special evenings out. That breitling looks nicer to me...

oh no, lol. Neither of them are mine. The Breitling is a bit out of my price range, and the Prince is too small for my wrist. I just haven't had a Prince in stock for a while so decided to post pics when it recently came in and the Breitling was for a customer.
yes, it is just a pull-out just like on every Cellini i've seen so far. These are definately dress watches, most are hand-wind mechanical, not automatic, very few even quartz. Precious metals only :) (i'm sure you know that but just throwing it out there) |

You know, I am not as thrilled with tankissime either. I like the Francaise much more in that combo.

To much bling , just think what a great collection 140k would let you purchase:
Patek / Lange / more Rolex's / F P Journe etc. Did some Rap artist or drug dealer buy it?? The jumping hour window would really confuse me , its where the date should be!! Is it 6 o'clock or the 6th? |

I believe, taste, may it be in cuisine or watches, vary from culture to culture. When it comes to timepieces, individual taste is key. Whatever floats the person's boat is paramount--not how the watch is advertised or made.
My 2 cents. |
