Dress Watch: Daytona SS or Reverso 976
Anyone here ever gave thoughts to this? Which of these would would be a better looking piece for primarily office/dress and sport casual secondary duties. In my case the SubC and Ex42 polar takes care of most scenario and i'm pondering a 3rd piece to fill in the gaps.
Like i mentioned before i'm just curious and appreciate your thoughts on this

The Reverso is the formal option between the two. The Daytona is a sport chronograph.

The Reverso is more dressy.
 Personally my SS Daytona substitutes as my "dress" watch.

Daytona will hold its value better, although the Reverso is a classic and not as commonly seen in the wild. Also as all my other watches are "sports" watches with bracelets opted for the Reverso as a dress/boardroom piece. JLCs really are special !

Of the two, I would say the Reverso. While some may be dressier than others, I wouldn't consider any current Rolex Professional series watch to be dressy.

The JLC is a more formal watch. It would also give you more variety in your collection and better contrast against the two Rolex's.
I have a JLC Reverso myself and along with the Sub it forms the perfect pairing. No occasion exists that would leave me unsure which watch to wear. If I owned a Daytona it would be smart casual. It would go really well with a smart jumper and dark jeans. For the occasions you mentioned Reverso is the better option but the Daytona is good as well. |

Wow alot of JLC reverso love here. Some nice wrist shots there. I'm still on the fence for now but thanks for the feedback guys. Did manage to drop by the AD today and if you guys don't mind i'll post some pics?

For diversification purposes in your collection I like the JLC reverso.
But a white dial ss daytona is as neutral as you can get - it will work well with all of your clothing. Most reversos in the current line up have either a dark brown or black strap - not as 'neutral' If you have the opposite colored suit or shirt.

For my style, the Daytona is dressy enough though the JLC is more fitting in that catagory.
