WC Football
Australia (The Socceroos) and Trinidad will join the World Championship Football in Germany next year. (To the dim parts of the world football = soccer). And who made this all possible? Yes, the Dutch! Thank you, thank you very much. Elvis has left the building.

Football: the noblest and most popular team sport in the world. Played by two sides of 11 gifted and handsome men who are usually every women’s dream. Highly tactical and refined, this sport requires mathematical insight and great intellectual prowess. Training and preparation for the game: years of rigorous work-out and meditation.

And while rugby's a hooligan's game played by gentlemen, soccer's a gentlemen's game played by hooligans.
Not that have more than a passing interest either, mind you.

Well, as long as we are on the subject of strange sports, can anyone explain cricket to this admittedly ignorant Yank?

Basically there are TWO kinds of games - the TEST matches which are played over five days (these can be quite slow and boring at times)....and then we have the exciting ONE DAYERS, also called the ODI (One Day International) which is played over a day, each side getting to bowl 50 overs. It really is too complex a game to try and explain over this post, but if you're really interested, perhaps a google search will be of considerable help. Cheers, pal - JJ

performance and a narrow win over Fiji, IMO the best side lost. The match against the Springboks, well they have a very powerful and strong team. And they are the only side to be on parr with the all blacks. We have bulked up our back line for the game,And last year there were only a few points between the team.Think the including Dafydd James on the wing might make a big difference and Ruddock has picked all the big boys Sonny Parker and Gareth Thomas. Its difficult to see how strong we will be when we have had so many injuries. But think it will be a close game, but we got our pride and we won the 6 Nations so all the fans will be watching, and I am sure the team will come outfighting to win.
