Crazy Sub; captured the webs in the morning sun
Caught some the intricate crazing on my Sub in the morning sun. It's tricky to capture.
If you have "the craze," please post a pic. Thanks in advance! M |

Sub is a W series. 1996 or 1997, if memory serves. Gotta check the papers to be sure. Box and papers are still in Ohio and I'm in Australia, so I might have to book some flights just to verify... Good excuse to travel, anyway.

Nice shot and great looking watch!
Take care if you ever send it to RSC for a service - they'll want to correct that "defect".

I have been warned of that, Eman. Thanks for the reminder just the same.
That's one reason my 93150 went to Michael Young instead of RSC. Should have the bracelet back on Dec 11th, according to FedEx. |

nice shot!
But I don't understand how owners are not upset at the presence of a cheaply made, poorly constructed dial that is put in a watch costing thousands of dollars. |

When I first noticed it I was admittedly taken back a bit. Having said that, it's now something I really like and would not want to change. IMO, it sets it apart as unique, like a mis-struck coin from a mint.
Practically speaking, it is invisible except in very bright light with an extremely flat angle of incidence. 99% undetectable. If 100 w series sub-dates were put together on a table, I could pick mine out of the group. I like that aspect as well. Again, unique. Cheers! |

It reminds me of the scientific experiments with spiders when they were fed drugs, it looks like your spider is on caffeine:

The entire dial is like that, but the effect can only be seen on the edge of the reflected light. Pretty trippy, but I like it. It looks a bit like a satellite view of a map of downtown Boston or something. I reckon the caffeinated spider helps, Fredrik! Cheers!
