Thinking of changing
I've worn three different Subs over 46 years (the last one bought in 1986). The only other Rolex I own, other that a '70s vintage gold day date my dad left me, is an Explorer I bought in 1999. I'm thinking it's time for a change. I've always liked the Yacht Master, and have an opportunity to trade the Sub and the Exp for a 2003 model YM. I would love input on these thoughts. Thanks.

I would not do it. Don't care for the Yachtmaster.
Those are nice watches. However, if you don't wear of them / and are not sentimentally attached to them, sell them. You might make out better. |

Yep, they are both nice.
I agree on the Explorer. It has always been my favorite Rolex. It is the only watch I've worn for the past ten years, until recently. I've considered keeping it and shelling out more cash. Both are sentimental, to a point, since they have accompanied me on some great adventures around the world. I've just purchased a Sinn 857 to do the traveling with me, since wearing a Rolex (especially in some of the places I travel) can be an invitation you might not want to send. The YM is different, and not seen as much as the Sub. |

Keep that sub. Maybe trade the Explorer and give some cash.

What attracts you to the YM? It's a nice watch and most comfortable but I wouldn't own one as my only Rolex.

Sure, why not? YM + special DD = a great combo. You can always pick up an Explorer or Sub later if you want for less than a YM.
