Rolex precision

Hi guys,
I just have to gush about how happy I am with my Rolexes. I got my Exp II a few months back and my (second) Sub C last week. All preowned. My ExpII is within a second per day accurate. I set my Sub C last Wed, 6 days ago, and I just checked it and it is STILL exactly on time. Not even a full second. Unbelievable. I just can't get over how well these watches are crafted. I had a GMTIIc that was just about as accurate as well. For those of us who are anal about time, this is why Rolex watches hold their value. I have a feeling the rest of my collection will be gathering dust. Have a great week!

Very nice but remember accurate timing is a function of proper regulation more than anything else.

Lucky you! On December 6, after getting my Explorer II back from RSC in Toronto to be regulated for being fast and erratic, I set my time EXACTLY. Just checked it and it's still running fast, by 32 seconds, but at least it's not erratic. It's fast by a little over 4 seconds a day.
You have an amazing watch, enjoy it!

What SubCs do you have? Post pics

I just synched my watch as well to an atomic clock, to the second. Gonna check it in 7 days (Christmas day) to see its accuracy at the exact same time. Wish Rolex luck y'all!!!

A Rolex is a precision instrument in my opinion. None better!

Good result. My Exp II 216570 was very accurate... -0.2 sec/day averaged over a month

I 100% agree no matter the movement or the make of the parts like hairsprings etc in that movement.Accuracy basically is down to one thing just how well the movement has been regulated while on and off wrist its that simple. And now I just check my wearing watches around once every two weeks.Last time I checked it was less than a minute fast then, now thats accurate enough for me,and for most all others.I would doubt today if anyones life depends or is run to the exact second. Now if it is then I feel truly sorry for you, whats in a few seconds either way out of 86400 in a day.

Re-checked my Explorer this morning and it's exactly now +30 secs. That makes it +30 every 2 weeks, well within the ex-factory standard of +2 min per month. Guess I can't complain, so I'll stop being a little anal about precision (and +2 per month is very good) and just fully enjoy my watch!

It's not that a few secs here or there in a day change my life, but I love a good watch that keeps such great time that I don't have to reset it every other day. Yes I have quartz watches too, but Rolex is doing something right when their mechanical watches run this well. :)

Know how you feel.....my M series EXP II is consistently within +/- 1 second of time.gov. All I have to do is rest it overnight either face up or crown up to gain/lose that second if I wish to.
