Jubilee Bracelet and white gold

Hello,

I remember when I was in Tournau, the sales told me all Jubilee Center Links Bracelet are made with white gold and oyster is all stainless steel. That is why Jubilee models are more expensive. Folks over at WUS trying to tell me Jubilee center links are all stainless steel except two tone.

I am trying to verify this info so I can be correctly informed. I am thinking you guys are the best for me to ask this info.

No gold for SS Jubile.

If you look at that price comparison, you see that the difference from SS Jubile to SS Oyster is only 100$, and the additional links are same price.

The difference from SS jubile to TT jubile is more than 3000$.
If there was white Gold in SS jubile, the difference with SS Oyster would be a lot larger.

If the center links of my jubilee bracelet where white gold, then... .... that would be great... but unfortunately, no they are SS.

There are, of course, TT Oyster bracelets that have either YG or RG center links.

Then it wouldn't be TT (two tone), it would be MT (mono tone) since they are the same colour, you could call it also BM (bi-metal)

Since center links are not white gold except the fluted bezel. Why do they had to use the WG for the fluted bezel? They could of made the bezel with polished stainless steel. Isn't stainless steel still tag more durable than WG?
SS can keep the price down too.

There are Rolexes with SS bezels - particularly the Oyster Perpetual and Air-Kings are that way.

But the Datejust fluted bezels are different - they are gold. The Datejust domed bezels can be SS, though.

I understand But doesn't make sense to use WG separately to be on fluted bezel only. If the fluted bezel is SS. They could of make the whole case as single solid SS. instead of two. All build as 1. instead of making 2 parts. which cost additional step in assembly line. More labor. More cost.

They should of make:
Stainless bezel with SS bracelet only.
Gold bezel (WG, RG, Yellow) with mix gold bracelet only.
Full Gold with Full gold bracelet only.

Funny true story. My grandpa (was 98yo) got his Datejust. Through his life he have told me his DJ is made with white gold. He think the whole watch is made with white gold before he passed away. Don't know which sales told him that. Prob they don't bother to explain to him. Then later, the Tourneau sales correct me. Telling me, White gold is only on the bezel and center part of the jubilee bracelet. Then today, I found out the white gold is only on the bezel only online from you guys....LOL. Never too late to learn.

Oyster Perpetual 116034 or OP date 115234 as well as Air-Kings 114234 with fluted bezels , use a gold bezel just like datejust 116234. (AK and OP with fluted bezels have been discontinued this year).

For all of them except OP it have existed models with SS engine-turned bezel.
The last apparition for each range were 114210 AK , 115210 OP Date and 16220 DateJust.

hard to make a fluted bezel out of stainless steel, something about the composition of it makes it difficult to taylor into that shape, white gold seems to be easier to make into a fluted bezel than stainless

I'm guessing that if they wanted to make the fluted bezel from SS, they could do it.

Never made sense to me to use a soft metal right for a component bound to take a few hits over the years.

This is disturbing to me. How many people purchased watches after being told that the center links were gold when in reality they were steel? An ignorant salesperson would be bad enough, but conning the customer would be unforgivable.
