Not a Panerai fan normally because of size and crown lock thing...but that is nice...real nice.
Unless its over 42mm

Then I hate it.

that is my favorite But water resistance is abysmal, for a watch that has a diving heritage.

WATER-RESISTANCE 3 bar (~30 metres).

The 399 is a beautiful watch, love the Minerva-based mvmt!

However I never managed to figure out what OP was referencing when they made it. It could have been modeled after the "small Egiziano" which is a super-grail, however as much as I like 6152/1 small-secs, it doesn't fit here...

Agree. Many of the new releases seem to incorporate bits and pieces of true historic models but are not purely historically accurate. Some mix features of different models. I can see why purists will cringe. No offense to purisits. In essence an historic piece which never actually existed. I really like it though. Alot. I understand that sold with its rose gold twin the retail will be in the range of 80k usd. Thats obscene and sadly thats what panerai has become. They are riding the wave of popularity and the brands increasing popularity with idiots like me who will drop 11k on a ss watch with two hands.

Hi, Andy. It's great to see you here again, even if it is on the PAM side.
