Eric Clapton's Rolexes

Hello All,

Here are the Rolexes Eric Clapton put up for auction at Christie's New York on 5th June, 2003. All images are from the Christie's auction catalog. I hope you enjoy them.

P.S. I left out two of his Patek Philippes.

Awesome, thanks for sharing.

Kind of makes you wonder what he decided to keep.

Thank you very much for the photos.

Mr. Clapton is an incredible watch collector, musician and person.

I have nothing but pure respect for the man.

Well, evidently he's keeping his SS GMT because I don't see it in the OP's pics:

I'd be curious to know what is motivating him to auction them off. I guess maybe it's for the Crossroads Centre mentioned in the catalog.

Do you really want to know?

He is a true enthusiast indeed! His passion for vintage Patek Philippe watches has been discussed on this forum as well a few times before. Thank you for sharing!

That's easy. Go to the Christie's auction site and look up auction results.

This is only a fraction of EC's collection. When I look at mine collection I feel like a boy scout.

Well that's one way to thin out the collection

I could not have let those Subs go... 3-6-9 and ncg in particular...

He had it bad, didn't he?! I wonder if he started all over again, or if this was some sort of rehab cleansing process... I met him a few times many years ago (late 80s/early 90s), but although I've always loved watches, I wasn't afflicted in the way that I am now, so I didn't get into a watch discussion. It was more about the music in those days. He's a great bloke. Awesome musician. Not a bad pool player either!

I've never seen a 3-6-9 sub before now. Will have to do some research on that little guy. Looks like the offspring of a sub and exp.
