Jubilee or Oyster Bracelet
Jubilee or Oyster bracelet, which is most ladies wearing now days?

I would expect Jubilee but am not certain.
Most people think of the Jubilee as more dressy and the Oyster as more sporty. Also, consider the combo of bezel and bracelet--the traditional Rolex look is fluted bezel with Jubilee and smooth bezel with Oyster. However, this is subject to an individual's choice...I've definitely seen a fluted bezel DJ with an Oyster bracelet, for example. The other factoid is, most people find the Jubilee more comfortable on the wrist. I know that our Lisa feels that way, having had both types. |

I love both, and have struggled with the same dilemma.
My DJ has the jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel and to me, it's classic 'Rolex'! The bracelet is super comfy, and a bit more dressy. My very first Rolex...a DJ as well...was purchased years ago and on an oyster bracelet. A bit more casual looking. I loved it and wore it daily for 2 or 3 years before deciding to upgrade to the newer style DJ. That's when I switched to the jubilee bracelet. You can't go wrong with either! I'm not sure if it's important to you or not, but the oyster WILL show scratches whereas the jubilee pretty much conceals them. I'd suggest that you try on TONs of 31mm varieties to see which feels the best! |

I know a few females with Rolex watches. They either wear Jubilee or President bracelets.

A Mid-YM? Oyster is only choice!  36mm anything? U pik'em... Gold, TT or Diamond dial Ladies DJ? Must be Jubilee methinks.  Otherwise try out several options and choose what appeals to you.

Personally, I don't find that the Oysters on my Sub and Explorer are more or less comfortable than the Super Jubilee on my DJ.
I do think that the Jubilee looks a lot better than the Oyster with the PCLs.

I bought a super jubilee for my wife'sGMT coke, she hated it. I put the oyster back on.

I'm considering purchasing a DJ soon and knew as soon as I was presented with the choice between the Jubilee and Oyster bracelets that it was all Jubilee, all day for me. Just one woman's opinion.

I believe it'd be jubillee rather than oyster. I for one like the jubillee on my dress Rollies while the oyster on my Sports Rollies.

My wife wears a Jubilee on her WG/SS Datejust. I'll keep (for now) a Jubilee on my Thunderbird, the Oyster is good for my Explorer I, SD, and WG DD. Both are fantastic, just different, but for me the Jubilee is more comfortable. In fact, am currently considering picking up another GMT II so I can wear it with a Jubilee, to me that feel/look is iconic. Flipper's regret onthat one.

With my wife's wrist size at about 5.5 inches, I think she would have a hard time pulling off Oyster, especially with the large clasp on the underside of her wrist.

The good news is you can't go wrong with either - but jubilee is said to be a little more comfortable, and a touch more elegant IMO.
My wife wears jubilee on her DJ, but she also loves the oyster. Both great. |

My wife wanted an Oyster on her TT DJ but has since wished she had the Jubilee. The only reason is she feels the PCLs have proved to be such a scratch magnet. The watch is great looking however and after a year she still loves it.
