On a mission

Instead of trying to be a one watch guy, I have learned that I do want to collect watches. It took a boat load of time and money to figure this out, but hey, I suppose that is how hobbies go.

Anyway, I always thought I needed to purchase similar watches. I am getting now that I like the idea of having a variety. Different watches for different occasions and moods. I have even gotten to the point where I actually get home and put a different watch on and then another before I go to bed. Different watches for different purposes.....

But I am having fun. I also recently decided to go big (it was a car or gold, decided gold). I want the pinnacle and have decided that with the other parts of my collection, I do not need the lume on this one. So I have been searching. And having a ton of fun. Found this last night at a local AD that I used to buy from. Still leaning towards white dial with romans, but so nice...........

I'm happy you've found some direction buddy! I still think the white Dd2 wold look great on you. The wave dial on a DJ looks sporty but somewhat out of place on the more conservative DD2 IMO.

re: which one to get, i much prefer the white dial and romans for the DD2. i think the sporty blue dial is very nice, but, that niche can be filled by another, more sporty model.

The blue wave dial is nice, but I would go for the white romans.

Classy watch = classy dial = Romans.

IMO, of course.

I would recommend White Romans - it's STUNNING in person.

And classic. You know that dial won't ever go out of style.

turns out there are two white roman dial options, but, i think i prefer the one you posted above (technically ivory, not white).

The concentric rings give the dial some nice visual depth but I agree with Karis on the crispness of the pure white.

well, keeping with the theme of this being a special piece, i'd take the ivory concentric ring dial because it's unique to the DDII and looks especially classy and timeless. the snow white roman dial is so crisp and stunning, but, it's available in other models and, so, a tad less "special".

just to be safe, get both?

I think I prefer the concentric. But they are both awesome. Either one a winner.

Get either and you can always buy the other dial and have both options.

that's a great point, seth. no reason to hesitate between the two at this point. white or ivory is clearly the way to go, so, go with your gut and you can always figure out the dial later.

Alright fellas. I just spoke with David.

The order had been placed. Now it's just the wait as this one needs to be ordered

In honor of Sam, I'm dubbing this one, white roman concentric, The Ghost

Thanks for all your input.

Pics will surely be posted when the time comes.

And yes, I can confidently say this will be it, for at least a little while....

Did I really just say that....

OUTSTANDING choice!!!! I honestly think this may be the only timepiece you need Seth! WG = Understated and that's what you were looking for! The DD2 is a workhorse of a timepiece! Well done brother!
