I stumbled upon another forum that this discussion is going on whole heartily...

1. The Earth is Less Than 10,000 Years Old
2. The Earth is More Than 10,000 Years Old

Thanks for humoring me. The other forum is a type that could tend to have more "wackos" than our dear TRF does so I am interested what everyone here thinks.

4.54 billion years based based on evidence from radiometric age dating of meteorite’s and comparing them to the oldest-known terrestrial and lunar samples.

Hopefully the topic can avoid young earth creationism and rule 6.

I agree. This topic is possible and politics, race, culture, religion, sexual orientation or discrimination, violence don't have to be mentioned.

This cannot even remotely be a serious question. The "young earthers" are completely delusional if they seriously believe that the Earth is approx 10,000 years old.

If you want to debate 4.54 vs 4.53 billion years - that is a legitimate discussion. Young earthers are completely laughable. Just go hike the Grand Canyon and walk down through almost 2 billion years of history.
