16610 v 116610LN

Apologies if I have mis-read this, but they are totally different versions of the Sub date.

I think that you are referring to the older sub versus the sub ceramic.

There are a load of posts with the differences, but basically the Sub C has wider lugs, maxi dial, ceramic bezel and a totally different bracelet extension system.

There are many threads detailing the differences if you use the advanced search facility.

Both are great watches, but which is better is a personal preference.....

I prefer the older version the 16610....

All Sub Dates (for their era) are 16610's. Any letters that follow only describe their accessories.. L means Lunette (bezel insert), and N means Noir (Black). V would be Verti (green)

This is the case with any Rolex.. Ignore the letters following the numbers for the basic model information.
