MSRP in Canada is $8600 + Tax. This is before a discount.

Yup, $8600 + tax.
Calgary would be the cheapest province to purchase from. |

I know they were $8600 before Christmas, but I believe they may have already gone up. I priced the 2 tone Sub before Christmas and it had gone up in January.

Just thought I'd update this thread.
I decided that I want to buy a new, rather than vintage Rolex. There just aren't that many good quality vintage pieces up here. Those are here are grossly overpriced for what's offered. I spent Friday visiting shops to get quotes and discuss prices. What I was looking at was the Sub 116010LN. All prices noted do not include 13% sales tax. Damaiani--$8600 with 20% discount, any payment method Ashley Jewellers--$8600 20% cash discount Overgaard Jewellers--$8600 10% discount, any payment method My last stop was Raffi Jewelers. I went into their boutique showroom and was shown the Sub. I asked about a discount, and was surprised to learn that they now offer a 20% cash discount. Retail price on that sub was $9700! Now I understood why they were offering a discount. How common is this; for shops to boost the retail price? I know it's just a suggested retail price, but a $1100 mark up is pretty absurd. My hopes of spending my money locally fizzled with Raffi, and Overgaard, so now I need to decide between Ashley's and Damiani. As a side note, I also looked at the Seamaster. The blue ceramic bezel, and blue dial really floored me. I owned a Seamaster years ago, when the new design was first introduced with the old 1120 caliber movement. But the new incarnation of this line is really gorgeous. And the bracelet is really incredible. I've been thinking about it all day, and I'm wondering if the Seamaster has a slight edge for me over the Sub |

Advice.
Raffi - high rent, grossly marked up Damiani - will work hard to earn your business Have you tried La Difference?

This is very strange about Raffi. I bought my Sub-C Date from Raffi a month ago and MSRP was $8600 minus my very sweet discount (paid by bank draft) plus tax.
My SA was Annette and was finalized by Vahe. I tried to deal with La Diff first last year for my wife's DJ and my Explorer. The best they would go was 7% paid cash. Went to humbertown and got 21% off each. Raffi was very good to me.... Better than humbertown. Good luck and post lots of pictures.

I agree. I've received top-notch service from Humbertown for my previous purchases. Damiani was also quite good. I wasn't too impressed with La Difference, and they provided the smallest discount of the various Rolex AD's that I had visited.

I swung by the store last night since I was in the area. I asked Kevin about the price difference, and he checked the card I was given by the sales person I spoke with, and pointed out that she had written down part of the model number, rather than the price: Rolex Submariner Ceramic 116610 LV 9720 The way it was written on the card, the 9720 appeared to be the price. He confirmed that the price is indeed $8600, and stated I could use a bank cheque, or cash. Can I ask; did you receive the 20% discount, or better? |
