Big screen suggestions

Thinking of upgrading my dip 65 to led or plasma 3d smart tv either 65 or 70 inch just not sure which brand has the best picture? What do recommend? And do you have and would you recommend it? any input is appreciated.

thanks
Roger

Samsung. The make the best displays for TV LCD. If budget no object, get a 4K model to future proof it.

I saw the Vizio at Frys and they where really good in quality !
I would go for a LED since they use less energy

We got a Samsung 3D LED . . . since Vizio isn't sold overhere . . .

Good luck

Samsung was the best rated by most when I bought mine, I imagine that's probably still the case.

Do some research here.

For a large screen as you want I would only go plasma.

Panasonic VT series plasma - best picture period.

I have an 8th generation Pioneer Kuro and the VT series has even surpassed it in terms of picture quality (now).

The VT50 series are being closed out for the new models, so good deals can be found.

We still got a steam powered 25 inch TV in my part of Wales and for whats on the TV lately that size will do for me.Well no matter what brand of LCD TV you buy today in the UK dont know about the USA that screen panel will have been made by either LG-Philip's, Samsung or Sony, unless of Chinese origin.LG-Philip's is currently the world's second largest LCD screen maker, top is Samsung Electronics of Korea. While Hitachi, Panasonic and Pioneer are the main suppliers of Plasma screens to various manufactures.Sony has pulled out of plasma manufacturing and has chosen to concentrate mainly on producing bigger LCD screens of better quality.IMHO at the moment Samsung screens are just a small fraction ahead at the moment, but LG-Philips and Sony are catching up fast. Now Sharp is a fine brand and specialise in design Microelectronics and supply the circuit boards etc to other manufacturers,as well as building there own electrical products

Panasonic makes the best plasma glass on the market. Pioneer outsources to them as do a few other brands. Not sure who makes the better LED/LCD glass.
