It really all comes down to personal preference. No one can make the decision but you.
Both are excellent choices. If it's the black dial SubC vs the SS GMTC, then I choose GMT. If it's the Sub LV-C, then that would be my choice. Good luck and congrats in advance. |

GMTIIC even though I don't own one I think it is one of the best watches in the Rolex lineup.

I'd pick the Sub-C because of the glide lock clasp mechanism....I think that's a fantastic feature that GMT lacks. Good luck with your decision

GMT IIC is better looking in my opinion. Plus it's more functional for International travel.

Either would be great, don't envy you having to decide. Whatever you pick the runner up will probably be your next one!!

The only thing that the gmt had which I was not fond of is the pcl other than that it looked fablous, . I actually tried on both plus explorer 2 white dial and the blue dial sub white gold but that's out of my league for now at least lol.

I used to hate the GMT, but now I am in love with it. Go for the GMT, its so similar to the sub and you get a complication.

Both superb references. I went for the Sub as I preferred the simpler bezel and brushed bracelet. Can't go wrong with either. If you travel then the GMT might be more useful.

Go to the AD and try them on. One will sing to you more than the other.
There is no wrong decision. I went with this one! |

Tough choice. I'd probably lean towards the SubC.
Good luck! |

Yup, cant go wrong with either one but if you plan on getting the Hulk later then the Gmtc is the better choice now and if you stay on this forum you WILL buy your second Rolex much faster than you can possibly imagine!

GMT! Had the same decision to make last year and haven't looked back. Second one for me will probably be vintage.

I am a big fan of the polished parts of the GMT2C...gives it some flair. I also am a big fan of the SubC more glide lock adjustable bracelet. You get the half link adjustment on the GMT2C, but the SubC's bracelet is definitely made for more of a precision sizing based on the ever changing size of your wrist. Then having the 2nd and 3rd Timezone complication of the GMT2C is a plus, and the SubC really doesn't do anything extra. So you must weigh out which of those factors are important to you...you cannot lose either way with these 2 choices.
Finally, if your heart was set on a Hulk, then buy from one of the trusted sellers on here and get it for the price you wanted. End of the day, you will be happier if that is what you truly wanted. EricE
