help identifying a vintage model

hi everybody,

i"m trying to get info about a vintage model.

i found some details :
- 25 world records
-1937 because letter " o" engraved
- glascow hallmark
- 9 ct gold
-28 mm size

model réf 2008 ,

some questions still there :

- is it a gent model ?
- is it a " prince model " ? -> please see the rolex ad from december 1936 ,

it's difficult or impossible to get info & pics about this 2008 ref ,
is it a rare model ? because on the ad ref 1862 & 1936 are very common on the web

thanks in advance to evrybody.

It seems that you already have it identified as a 1930's reference 2008. Gentlemens watches were smaller back then than today

No, it is not a Prince, which had a unique rectangular movement and is the one in the center of your ad..

Rare is always subjective... yes, it is rare, but not particularly valuable... It may cost as much as it is worth to restore to it's former character..

I would say that the dial has been refinished at some point in time. It does not look like I would expect a 75 year old dial to appear.. it is also missing the usual swiss lettering and sports a more modern font..
