Well, I got an opportunity to take some quick snaps at lunch.
So here she is, an early 60's 5512 fully serviced at RSC Dallas a few years ago.
New dial, hands, crown/tube, crystal and bezel.
Maybe not as sexy as an untouched piece, but I personally love how service dials pop.

Wow that's nice!! I know I'm in the minority here, but my preference is towards a properly serviced vintage Sub with all the modern bits. This one is outstanding.

I think in most cases it decreases the value.
By how much varies according to model.
