Manchester watch shopping !!

Any of the UK guys from North West area ? Just spend 3 nights in Manchester over New Year - you guys are lucky for watch shops !

I really wished I'd won the lottery this weekend - I visited 5 AD's (Rolex) - possibly as many as 10 Omega AD's, also Panerai, JLC, Cartier, Breitling, Patek, etc etc..

What a choice

Great place as well, stayed at Hilton (Deansgate) and was very impressed.

Hey Dan

Good to hear you enjoyed my hometown, I get to the city every few weeks (I live 20 miles out in the suburbs now) and it's a great place for Rolex cruising....clothes as well.

I've been to the cloud bar at the top of the Hilton for drinks -great view of the city.....if the clouds aren't too low and the rain isn't too heavy.

Bet it was lively over the festive break....

We were in cloud23 on Sunday nite - great views, great cocktails, HUGE prices

Clothes shopping was superb, Harvey Nicks, Selfridges, etc etc - managed to do £370 on a Prada coat as well - it turned into a dear trip

Equinox
Definately

Although the NCP next to the Hilton on Deansgate was very easy.. Little tip - on way back to car after shopping, boldly walk into the Hilton, give the concierge your parking ticket, and he'll run it thru a machine which will knock 40% off your parking fee.. It's for residents only of course - but they never once ask for your room card etc - saves a few quid

Sounds like you had a nice stay, Dan, but you should have taken some pics.

Any specific Rolex / Omega models that were smiling back at you?

Well the Omega Planet Ocean was tried on, and I am seriously considering this at the moment... With Orange strap - it felt and looked a quality piece..

Many many others were beaming back, to name a few :-

S/S GMT IIc
Sub LV
Y/G GMT IIc (Green dial)
W/G Daytona with MOP dial
GMT II 'Coke' - the only 16710 I saw all weekend....
PT D/D with ice blue dial
