personally, i think this could look good in the flesh.

and, when the SS model with black ceramic comes out in a year or two, having the brown ceramic will help differentiate the platinum.

I at first thought I liked it but the more I look at it I am changing my mind. If they went with black or even a white insert and kept the same dial this would have been stunning.

Should of gone with the blue ceramic from the SS YMII.

Looks better in this pic than on Rolex.com, IMO.

Thanks for sharing the live shots Puffy

I liked it when I saw it online because I thought the brown color was a lot darker. I do not like the color scheme now that I see it with a live photo. I think a black ceramic bezel with that blue dial and silver subdials (like the SS) would have looked much better.

What I don’t get is who signs off on this stuff?

Agreed I thought initially the brown was a lot darker. The brown in this pictrure is pretty light and doesn't go well at all.

Chocolate dial, full gold Daytona on leather looks so much nicer than this if you want brown...

Love that variant.

Should have a platinum bezel if its going to cost £35-40K or more, like on the DD. Ice blue and platinum is the ultimate combo here.

It's an interesting combination. If I had a car the color of the dail and the interior was wood lined it would look lovely. With the right outfit this would be very nice. I can see more women picking this up as it would look stunning on any lady....being a Rolex and all. Not bad, it'll sell, just not for me.

Even Rolex have realized that the Daytona is first and foremost ladies jewelry at this point.

I like the color combo, but I agree with the above statement... Lady celebrities will trample each other for this reference... IMO.

While I disagree with the first part (I love my Daytona), I agree that this particular Daytona is really girly. I see this and I think 'Tiffany's'.
