No new DJII faces at Baselworld 2013?
This doesn't need a lot of replies. Catching up with threads posted today.
Am I correct in saying no new faces for DJII smooth or fluted bezel models this year? Thank you. Surprised in Minneapolis.

I am a little surprised-and disappointed-too. The DJII is one of my favorite modern references...
I was thinking we might see some of the cool little features that made their way into the 36mm, like the roulette date wheel and the tuxedo dials... I wonder if this means we've seen about all we're going to in this line, or if Rolex is just taking a break...who knows. |

I thought we might see the white gold romans against white and black dial for DJII. Assume that model's a big seller, so surprised they didn't offer more choices to push that advantage.
Not the end of the world.

The DJ II is so much nicer than the Day Date, in my opinion. Wish they'd have done something with these.

Rolex fell asleep across the board. Yes, new dials and a roulette wheels or how about a Super Jubilee bracelet?
Nothing at all but a poor man's YachtMaster (aka The Dinghy Master) and some silly miscast DayDate color abominations. Well at least some Rolex ADs will get Tudors to bring in foot traffic. |

Slightly off-topic, but I noticed on rolex.com that the date wheels on TT DJII models with the champagne dials now appear to be off-white (previously white).
Does anyone have any insights? |
