He watched Chelsea spank Basel last night - wonder if he wore that to the match... nah.

Like this guy doesn't already have it made.

I'm not a jealous man, but I'd trade tennis shoes with him any day.

And that watch looks fantastic on him.

Looks odd with a tux, but perhaps that's a good thing.

Yes I am still a fan of the PTD

I must agree...I throw up a little bit in my mouth each time I see that weak pale shade of blue on a once powerful manly watch!

Too big for his wrist in my opinion.. Agree that another choice on a tux may have been better..

I think it looks okay on him. I'm still not sold on it (not like I could actually afford to spend $70k on one lol). Based on the picture of Paris, I'm sure she'll jump at the chance to pick up one of the platinum ones once they hit stores!

I think the idea of the platinum Daytona with ceramic bezel is great, ideally would have been a black bezel with panda dial!!

+1 with you on that Ken ,, its the contrast that makes it work for me .. plus that ic blue dial is a trademark for a platinum rolex now

some contrasts work and some dont,, for example try a coffee with OJ (they compliment eachother beautifully) on the other hand try a coffee with lemonade !! (disaster) haha
Ice blue with brown is a combination that works

A couple of things:

1) He's Roger Federer. He's a good looking guy in great shape. Not many things are gonna look bad on him. A g-shock and a suit would look decent on this guy. His tux fits perfectly (didn't expect anything else). So when everything else is done well it's gonna make the watch look better.

2) He's dressed to the nines which obviously helps the watch look better but I can think of many watches that would look better with the tux that cost a lot less.

3) I don't think many people say the platinum is "majorly ugly". I personally feel it could of been executed much better. The blue ceramic from the YMII and get rid of the brown. Much better contrast to the glacier blue as the platinum DDII shows.
