APRO targetted
hello all - im hoping to secure a 15400 in the near future.... And wanted to run my situation by those of you who know so much more!
In uk - RRP = £11,810, obviously some discount is negotiable - but in these times of austerity what one may loose on flipping a year or so (optimistic) down the road is concerning. For this reason i started looking around for the best prices on line. Ive found online a chron24, UK dealer - with great reviews - who is selling BNIB APRO 15400 with my name on papers - for £8,000 thats nearly £4,000 less its achieved by his relationship with a USA AD - so by means of the US RRP being lower, the exchange rate, and my dealers discount - he passes a considerable saving on to me.... Q1. do i have to worry about import tax? Q2. can someone tell me the equivalent US RRP as id like to compare Q3. is warrantee all valid? i guess Q4. might be can anyone find better? and Q5. does anyone know if you can still get 15300, without going 2nd hand? finally Q6. when was the last AP price raise in UK - im aware the gold ones went down, but are we expecting any other movements soon? thanks people |

Hi, congrats in advance.
What I can answer you for now is, yes, you need to worry about UK import tax, if you buy online from a non UK based website or an non UK based AD. Otherwise, if the price you were quoted by your UK AD is the final pick up price, then you're set. If the warranty is from AP and in your name, it is valid worldwide. I have no idea if there would be a price increase anytime soon but i highly doubt it. |

I have been in contact with the OP as I know the seller he is talking about.
He receives the watch from the USA and then sends from the UK so tax isn't a problem for the customer. |

Darren is the top AP dealer in the UK, youll be fine with him, no import tax, that's his best price believe me Ive pushed him many a time as I was going to buy for £8K too but I think Ill save up for the gold 400. The 300 is no longer available new.

Hi ,
I just purchased my white 15400 from Darren. Great price and service and watch arrived 5 days early. The watches are sourced from the US , and mine was brand new factory fresh , all stickers still in place , the date stamped from US AD in warranty booklet was also only last week date. You can register the watch in your name from the AP website or fill send one pages in warranty book to AP. Having small wrist I also wanted the 15300 but decided to go for brand new 15400 instead or mint or lightly used 15300 . Considering how weak the Pound is against the USD Darren pricing on 15400 is hard to match. Now I just have get round to sizing the bracelet. |
