Breitling or Omega

I am looking at adding a new watch to my collection. The ones I am looking at are the breitling b01 chronomat or the omega planet ocean. Wish I can buy both but unfort I cannot.
Can you guys recommend one over the other as I like both and not really familiar with either brand. Thank you for the advice and wrist pics will also be greatly appreciated.

There are fans of both brands on the forum. I personally prefer the Omega.

Good luck with your choice.

Those are both fine watches. I prefer the Omega.

Either is a fine watch and I own both. The B01 is an outstanding movement, as are the new 8500 and 9300 from Omega. Really depends on what you want, because these are two very different looking watches. Buy what you like and forget everyone's opinion. Most around here worry about nothing but resale value as they (and me included) flip watches quite often. Discount on either brand should be about the same.

Curious here...
I own many of both Omega and Breitling.

Why would you choose Omega first?
Just styling?
Or are you talking quality and design?

Between the two I say omega, but I like the breitling for the eye catching effect

The new Breitling movements are very nice but all the bling really bothers me. Some strange bracelet designs also. I'd stick with Omega based on aesthetics alone.

I have the Omega PO 8500 so that's my answer and my choice.

Not a huge choromat fan but a nice navitimer is far from a bad thing!

I'm not a fan of Breitling at all. They may be my least favorite "popular" brand. I'd take the Omega.

Omega for me but these are very different so making your own choice shouldn't be too hard.

For this contest it would be the Planet Ocean, however if the Navitimer 01 was in the mix it would be a difficult one to for me to answer.

Wow, look at the responds....Omega hands down.

Omega gets my vote also, stylish and quality but also very subtle.

Breitling is a much louder watch which isn't my cup of tea.

Breitling for sure. Today I'm wearing mine; my Omega doesn't get any wrist time anymore.

This forum has always been very on Breitling. Go over to Breitlingsource.com and ask the same question - you'll get a completely different answer. People need to grow a backbone and buy what they like. I've never seen a culture so obsessed with worrying about what others think of them and the stuff they buy.

I'd choose Breitling. I like the overall look better. The movement is very accurate and the design is very attractive.

The omega just... blends in. Which is fine but I just don't see anything special in the design of the bracelet or dial to really make a statement.

I have to agree with you....I think this has becoming a norm where people wants to feel liked and accepted.

The only person I asked for acceptance or shall we say "permission" is my wife!
