Well done Mik,

I had a 210 for a bit & then a 232 but that was a while ago, i recently got to craving and retooling my palette for a Panerai after being without for sometime ... here you go, happy to present a Fiddy of my own

More pics!!! It's a real alternative to the 372/422 I'm looking at. Oh and if I could trouble you for a review sometime soon... tomorrow?

Agree Mike, it is in the same arena on many points, what i like about is actually the quirkyness: the way the numbers are warped by the domed crystal, the crown lock works down to up, the "panerai" scribble all over the movement...

All these things are not aesthetic/ergonomic choices i would have made, but together , i think they create a watch that will always be a bit special, even if they decide to release something similar down the road.

I also like the smaller fonts on both the words & the arabics & the fact that it is not an inhouse movement

PS
1) the subtlety of the gold hands & how the gold comes in and out of view.
2) the seconds & the 1950 text are also very subtle.

I guess there's my review
Now when i get a chance to get my proper camera on her, i hope to share some great pics.

Wow, amazing watch. I sold a 232 and 372 along with a Seadweller a few months ago to buy one of these. Loved it for the short while I had it but just couldn't justify £15000 in one watch, I actually enjoyed the diversity of having the option to wear 3 different watches so I traded it back in for a 232 and picked up a bargain priced brand new 372 and managed to get a 14060 and a 114270 with the left over funds. Happy happy happy.

If I could have justified keeping the 127 I would have done but for me the 372 does the same job......dare I say it.......better!?!? PLEXI
