Boston Area Canada Goose Worshipers...

If you are in the Boston area check out the Tannery on Boylston Street, Boston, and Harvard Square Cambridge. They are having a 50% off sale. I just bought an Expedition Parka that they retail for $795 and I got it for $397!! That's unheard of. Online retailers sell it for about $650 so you are essentially beating every deal you can find on this coat that never ever goes on sale.

That's a brilliant deal although I did beat that on mine when the store I bought my red one from was closing down £800-320 kept it for two years & due to the lack of a decent winter I ended up selling it for £400. It was the most insanely warm piece I've ever had, warmer than the piece I currently have that I bought in replacement the Nigel Cabourn Everest Parka.

I've wanted one for years, to be honest I was just there to size the one that I was going to buy online for $650. When I saw the 50% off sign I thought it was a mistake. So I figured out my size and started to leave when the sales guy asked my why I was leaving such a good deal behind. He said "you'll never see this price again" so I went back, did a double take and bought it.

I hope others are able to take advantage of this!!!

Excellent deal! I bought my original Expedition parka for not much more from Bloomingdales in NYC back in 2009.

It is crazy warm. Maybe too much for most circumstances but I find that if I just unzip or put the hood down I'm comfortable enough. It is bulky though and I cannot drive with it on.

Beware.
I once hung mine over a chair only to come back 5 minutes later to find the cat trying to chew the fur ruff.

Marc any chance you're going back there soon? I'm currently down in South Carolina and come back on Monday and would love to pick one of those up.

No they've got other winter stuff on sale but their normal retail prices are high so I don't know what's a true bargain and what isn't.

How are they sized? If I wear a 40S-42S jacket is that a medium?

Thanks. Good info.
Before they moved to their larger store their prices were quite good.
They newer, larger store is definitely a top dollar type of place.

I'd go back and buy five more in LG-XL and put them on eBay for $550 each

Based on what you paid, five jackets at $550 is roughly $962 profit. Plus you make a few dollars on the shipping, minus the eBay fees. I'd say you'd clear around $925

Canadian geese, once threatened, have now become a problem species in MN. Just too many of them! We have a hunting season now.

Everyone buy a jacket! We will supply the feathers!
