Cartier Roadster, Fake or Real? Help!

There is a local estate auction on Friday and they have a Cartier Roadster, it looks real, feels real, but I have no idea for sure, what do I look for, what do the Cartier experts think?

It's real, and definitely been worn a lot.
Expect to overpay at a well advertised auction.

What makes you know it is real?

The watch itself was not advertised, it is on the auction site wiith other jewelry, but its a terrible photo, I had no idea it was a Cartier until I went and looked at it today, the auction itself has a lot of boxing stuff, so that is the draw.

Also, the auction house will not say it is real, I guess to protect themselves.

Be aware that they do this on the X (10 o clock) or on the Vii (7 o clock).

The fake market tries to copy a watch as good as possible, this signature doesn't ensure that the watch is real or not.

Why challenge what I told you?

We are here to help. We don't discuss counterfeit and
Identification as it would further create problems in the
Marketplace.

The most important thing I told you is that you'll overpay
At auction - so don't waste your time on a worn out Cartier
Watch.

Whoa, timeout, who ever said I was "challenging" you? I am just simply looking for as much info as possible if I plan to bid, that is it.

Read between the lines.

I'm just trying to help. I'd not waste my time.
The watch in perfect condition is worth $1.5-1.75k
Max cash, however someone will pay more at auction.
Cartier has terrible resale for a reason.

You are right, auction people tend to go overboard, seen it many times, but have seen the opposite where they don't bid on some things that are valued higher, who knows what will happen, but I am willing ot take a shot for a couple hundreds bucks, it may be a good buy and it may turn out to be real and I can flip it.
