Said good-bye to my 1005 and hello to...

my Tudor Black Bay. I've been looking at the BB for some time now. I really like the design...pardon me here folks, but I'm kinda thinking steampunkish...

I thought it interesting that a watch not out of it's "honey-moon" phase all ready has a Dagaz and Tiger homage (a homage to a homage so to speak) So as I'm looking at the HH, I tell my wife I'm thinking of getting a HH just to see if I will really like it in the flesh. She laughs and says bag the HH and do the real deal. Yes ma'am I say and here we are.

Pictures do not do this watch justice. The bezel is a great burgundy/cranberry color that is more subtle then it is striking. The black face hinting at brown with the golden light reflected from the hands is stunning. The hands are finished nicely with an ivory patina. The bezel color carried to the crown is an excellent final touch as is the polished beveled edge to the case.

My thanx to Jared for hooking me up with this masterpiece.

It does have a steampunk feel to it. I personally prefer the Pelagos but the bb is growing on me. I'm glad you choose the steel bracelet. That faux vintage leather strap ruins the watch in my opinion. I truly hate it. Why leather on a diver? No idea. You sir, chose wisely

That really looks good!
Looking foward to adding my first Tudor once my local ADs receive the line.
