water resistance

what does everyone think about the water resistance of Vintage models that are from the 60's etc Ive been looking at an older datejust and was wondering if i get it pressure tested then i want to be able to safely go in the shower because i have occasionally forgotten in the morning to take off other watches, and i dont want to accidentally ruin a very expensive watch!

If it passes the pressure test, no problem

As long as it has been PTested or recently serviced, you shouldn't have a problem.

There is no real way to know the condition of the seals or if there is corrosion in the caseback from age.

If the watch has been well maintained, then any watch from the 60's should have the same water resistance today that it had then. If you know that the inner seals have been changed within the past decade, and it passes a pressure test, you shouldn't have any worries no matter what water you encounter..

water resistance

Even if it passes pressure test, there's no way to know for how long. So have it checked too - agree with Larry.
