312 or 321 for first and only PAM?
I've narrowed it down between these two since the 233 out prices these two by quite a bit.
Which would you choose? The 312 has cleaner dial and appears to be more popular (for resale if needed to flip), but 321 has PR, GMT, and less production. Tough choice for me, so I wanted to get your opinions. Does the 312 and 321 have the same case? I may trade my 116234 black diamond dial to fund the PAM. Thanks! |

If you don't need an auto watch, then I'd go 111 or 112. Clean base is ace! Save the price difference for the strap addiction ahead! But between the two, I'd go for the 312. Good luck.

Only one Luminor right? You can't just have one Panerai.
I think the GMT without am pm isn't that cool. 312, but 320 is great too.

If you are okay with size and feel of a 1950 case, 312 is a great watch

Got my first Panerai a year ago. I had the same questioning. PAM321 was the choice and it's putting smile on my face everyday since day 1.

Thanks for all the help guys! I'm leaning toward the 312. Is the production number for 2013 P 312 4,000? I think the 321 is 2500?

Haven't found a 40mm PAM that I like. If you are referring to how the 44mm fits me...I feel it fits fine. I may even go 47mm.

Thanks for all the input gents. Couldn't go wrong with either, but I decided on the 312 "P" series BNIB thanks to DavidSW. Love buying from David, as my last three have come from him. Should have it tomorrow. Can't wait. I'll post pics when time permits...or it didn't happen, huh? :) Thanks again.

Congrats on a great choice. If it is going to be the only one, the 312 has a more classic vibe, imo.

As promised, here are a couple of pics of my first PAM. Sorry I'm not a better photographer. I'll have to work on that. Do I need to send in registration card for warranty purposes or is it just a way for Panerai to get your info? Thanks again for everyone's expertise and for DavidSW for being such a great TRF trusted seller. This was my third watch from him and couldn't be happier.

Thanks lapince! You've got a great Pam collection I see. I liked the 233, but couldn't see spending the extra cash for a first Pam. Enjoy!
