What is missing?
This is a Rolex box circa 1970. What is missing from the inside of the box? I know the watch but what is supposed to go in the slots? I am trying to get as original box and manuals for DD as possible.

The slots are where you put the watch on. The President has a specific box and thats not it. What year is your DD?

It should be one of the big leather boxes with belt for a DD of the period.

The watch is supposed to fit into the notches of that green cutout.

Did the DD have a leather box with the belt way back then? Does anyone have a picture of a DD box circa 1970? |

Sweet that looks very much like the modern ones. I blew a chance to pick one up for $140 because it was new and I thought it wouldn’t go with a 70s DD.

Err buddy Earl...here's other examples of DD box...
But these as new ones...Orchi believes could be for Gold Submariners...or other Gold Sport watches... Here's another old one for Men's DD...which is as new. Here's one for the Old version box of Lady's President gold watches...also as new. |
