Kazakhstan & Uzbekistan

Hello!!!

I'm going to Kazakhstan for the second time and Uzbekistan for the first time.

I'll be from 2nd to 9th in Almaty and some other places around and from 9th to 17th in Samarkand and some other places around.

If you will be there, we can meet, chat and have a good dinner together :)

I'm not sure if will be ok... but I think the DSSD will be with me in this trip

Best regards

Really, is kind of disrespectful. I have friends there, and believe me... is nothing like Borat shows in the movie.

i am sorry to have offended you. posting the picture was meant as a joke. i just really like the movie and take any opportunity to post a picture of borat. innocent on my part, but not thoughtful.

anyway, enjoy your trip.

No problem. Just let you know about what they think and many people think about this movie. I know can be funny, but when you visit the country, when you meet their people... believe me, you'll change your point of view. I did it.

Thank you!

Oh, boy.....
I know nothing about those places, but, former USSR, is a vast territory. One can only imagine what that wonderful mass of land can offer. If I had the time , this is what I would do.
Take the Trans-Siberian train, and stop at as many cities, villages, nooks and crannies as one can.Party with the locals, go fishing, hunting, off roading,drinking...and whatnot....chance of a life time.....bucket list material....
Have fun

we were about to do the transsiberian when my wife got pregnant with our first kid 4 years ago. i guess it is not exactly in the very near future when we'll have time to do it but it is definitely on my bucket list.

I'm going to need a reason not to respond punitively to this remark. Maybe someone can help me out with understanding this.....

a quote from the borat movie. not a very approriate one......
as long as i do like the movie and found it really funny i can also understand the frustration of the kazakhs with it.
for some reason nobody would answer with a brüno quote to an austrian and nobody would cite ali g to a brit whilst borat is the only thing coming to mind to most of the people outside of kazakhstan.

btw, the borat movie was just as much a parody for the us as well.......

I apologize if I hurt anyone's feelings. It wasnt meant to be derogatory to anyone. It was a quote from a movie...

I did the transsiberian with 7 stops... is a nice experience, I met a guy from Russian army who was working in the border with China, really nice guy! We had a lot of fun. My wife (she is Russian) helped me to translate... I can understand nearly everything, but if you have a translator is better, hehehe.

A photo of me in Lake Baikal, -30șc The bottle was empty, I found it there in the ice and I thought that will be a nice photo writing memories and of course, LOOKING MY WATCH! :)

If you need any tip about the transsiberian, let me know!
