my ad is very,very trusting!!!

my ad is a couple hours away from me,i called him today and told him i want to purchase a pepsi gmt he still has in stock.we agreed on the price and i told him i'll mail him a check and i wasn't sure when i'll be able to get there to pick it up.i asked if he could mail it to me and he said "sure i'll send it overnight is tomorrow ok",i then said"yea but i have to mail you the check first".he said i trust you,i don't think you'll stiff me".so i took a ride to the post office and sent him a check, priority mail for the amount agreed upon.i've only known this ad for about 3 weeks and i bought a ss sub w/date about a week and a half ago from him.i've only been in his store once and i was wearing jeans, long sleeve polo shirt, merrell boots, columbia coat and my 5513 sub.i was dealing with the owner of the store directly.i'll buy more rollies from him for sure.

It's great when an AD can trust you. I wish the same thing could happen to me. You are priveledged for sure

You've got a good AD there. But what has what you were wearing got to do with it?

Why do we continue to pretend that looks and apparences do not matter, and that everyone is treated the same, regardless of their appearance?

I know in a perfect world, that would be the case...but it is not reality.

My jeweler is the same way. He let me walk out of his store with over $40,000 in diamonds when I was picking one for an engagement ring. He wanted to me to see them in different lights and conditions.

Its great to hear that there are still trusting Dealers around but unfortunately not everyone can be trusted in this day and age. Hope the dealer doesnt eventually get burned being so trusting.

The AD's I ve visited all have guards in the shops and when a watch comes out they are right there staring at you. And the cameras are tuned in.. Talk about the opposite of trust. Most times I say,, NO, I dont want to you to take the watch out of the case.

Sometimes the ADs go overboard and the customer gets offended.

Nice to hear a story which is the complete opposite of how one is normally treated.

I have known my AD since we were in 3rd grade and is one of my best friends. He took over the business from his dad in the early 90's.
