I have in the past purchased a gray market watch. The experience was ok and the watch as promised but sans box, hang tags etc. My question is where does Alan Furman or others get these watches? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure where they get their watches. I just recently purchased one from them and received it with box, hang tags, paperwork, etc. Good question.

They get them from other ADs in the US and outside of the US.

I'm going to guess you got the LV from your handle.

Off topic, I noticed that you're from Reno. I'll be there next week on my way to Lake Tahoe.

simply all watches are from AD but gray market buys lots of ROLEXes together with cheap prices and profit well over you and finally same ROLEX is being sold 2 times that's why no warranty.

Thanks for the responses. I actually bought the LV from Devon's, the AD in Reno. My gray market was a sub-date back in the early ninties. Vh bu98, if you want to get together for coffee or something, shoot me a PM.
