Be cautious...Sean McClendon

He contacted me for a trade and even mentioned that he's a member of this forum until I did a little research........

http://www.network54.com/Forum/35339...+-+be+cautious

Exactly the same conversation and tactics. Sent me the same old pics mentioned in the link. Quite a convincing fella but probably up for no good!

If I'm wrong about this fella, my apologies and please delete....

Ok, I'm not wrong about this knucklehead. He's a scam artist. Using 3 different names; Thevvatchguy, Sean M and Sean McClendon. He won't disclose his username here on TRF. From Atlanta and his phone info is 678-761-3474.
Please be careful when making deals and do a thorough research.

Joined just to add to this. It was my watch this scammer was using photos of, to scam the OP. He was using the email address [email protected] with me, signed all emails "J Sean".

Stay away!

I wanted to chime in here.

I have a JLC MC Chrono for sale and this guy named Shawn Michaels contacted me for a potential trade. He offered many Panerais and said he would provide many pictures after work. So I picked out a couple that I wanted to see. Sent from his iPhone, tagged in Georgia, same 678 area code as stated above. Talked to him on the phone, told me how excited he was to get my watch, described me how amazing Panerais are, to the detail!

So he explained how to make an invoice in paypal, he sent me one with tracking number and specifics, I did the same, they were for 2 dollars, we accepted and checked the tracking number he gave me and it says USPS (he said he would do FED EX) says 2nd day (he said it would be overnight) says insurance for 100 (he said it would be 5000).

Smells so bad of scam after I saw this, I WAS ABOUT TO SEND HIM MY WATCH BUT DECIDED TO JUST CHECK THE TRACKING JUST IN CASE, then after seeing the info didn't match I searched here and found this post!

Maybe I am wrong but it is just too coincidental.

Here is his info, maybe someone just needs to confirm it for me, sorry in advance if I am calling out a trusted member but this is a very expensive watch and I am not planning on losing it!

His name is Shawn Michaels, (678) 674 8990, [email protected]

confirmed paypal address but comes up to a different name: Alaina Mcclendon

Then the paypal address for shipping is:
Shawn Michaels
3655 Southside Industrial Parkway
Suite 103
atlanta, GA 30354
United States

IMO far too weird, and far too good to be true. And I just questioned him and I am not getting any reply. I will post up a new thread too.

I just called him. Sounds like a nice enough con artist. I asked if the rumors were true that he was dating Vince McMan. He denied it

Haha yep! You know what is funny, I was not a member here, he contacted me through cragslist. I mentioned I am a member at timezone and he said he was on the rolex forum and other forums. Funny enough and random, I just decided to join here, then I got curious and did some searching and there I saw it. What a low life, I don't know how someone could even do this. I told him on the phone how I worked my butt off in school to get a job and then a promotion to get my JLC and to think that he would still do something like this.

Any way, thank you Rolex forum and the original poster of this thread, YOU SAVED ME!

I'm confused... A trade only works if the seller gets the piece first...
His scam involved someone sending him the sale piece simultaneously?
Sheesh.
